Martin and Hyster Equipment

Martin Trailers have developed its own range of heavy duty
running gear and components to compliment it is existing
range of equipment. Added to this, the company still
manufactures and supports components for the original
Hyster trailers manufactured in the 1970's and 1980's.

The range of equipment developed by Martin has allowed
its product to become the most durable and low maintenance
trailer but at the same time reducing input costs into the
trailers, a benefit which is passed onto the customer.

The equipment is sold on to other original equipment
manufactures or to end users to retro-fit to existing units.

Martin Suspension

From the more hardwearing Martin walking beam suspension to its heavy duty air suspension, Martin suspensions have been designed for African conditions and proved time and time again to be robust enough to handle the conditions.

Martin Kingpins

A range of kingpins are available in both the 2" (50mm)as well as the 3.5"(89mm) sizes. Drop in (easy change) kingpin as well as drop forged bolt in kingpins are available. All kingpins specifications are according to SABS standards and are fully homologated.

Martin Power Packs

A diesel driven electric start power pack can be retro-fitted to a lowbed or trailer operating with hydraulics to power the system. The power pack allows for interchange-ability with trucks that may not have an existing PTO system to power the hydraulics.

Truck and trailer rims

Martin imports it own branded steel rims designed specifically for the higher axle and wheel loadings common on its lowbed and commercial trailers. The rims are of the highest quality and manufacturing standards whilst priced competitively for sales onto other trailer manufacturers as well as end user transporters and operators.

Martin Rear Load ramps

Martin also manufactures and sells its revolutionary rear load ramp system. With the unique vertical sprung assisted ramps, rear loading trailers are able to have longer and heavier duty ramps allowing for safer and quicker loading. The ramps are also available in a hydraulic version for the loading of 60 tonne plus equipment.
